Quantitative Research: a formal, systematic and objective method of research that describes observations through statistical gathering and analysis of data. Results are expressed numerically, as in percentages or averages.
Qualitative Research: a method of research that focuses on the experiences, interpretations, impressions or motivations of individuals, and that seeks to describe how people view things and why.
